Artist's Bio
A lover of the out of doors, Mary Lib Thornhill paints scenes of Texas, The Gulf Coast, the Southwest, historic sites, and commissioned subjects selected by clients. Paintings or prints range in price from $100 - $25,000. She is represented in public, corporate and private collections in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Virginia, Tennessee, New York and Massachusetts. She has taught workshops in Texas and New Mexico, was a founder of the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, Texas; was the initiator of the Docent Program at the University of Texas in Austin in 1961. She served as president of Historic Laguna Gloria and later as president of the Austin Arts Council.
