These hand colored lithographs were completed in
Vienna, 1837-1848. They portray scenes of the Viennese Military of the period, including
very fine calvary scenes. The emphasis is on uniforms, which are shown in great detail and
brilliant colors. Trentsensky's eye for detail in both man and beast was obviously
enhanced by his own experience as a lieutenant in the Viennese Army. The owner of these
prints bought them as a bound volume in Vienna in the 1970's. They are in excellent
condition and the colors are sharp and bright.
